Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of deposit do you require?

We require 50% down on all orders.

If I bring my logo on a disk / CD, what format works best?

Depending on your needs and the design of the sign, many formats are viable. We will discuss this on a case by case basis.  See Acceptable File Formats in our Learning Center section.

Can you make a sign from a digital photograph?

Yes, and we do often! The better quality the photograph, the better your digital image will turn out!  The photo's should be at least 300 dpi for the best quality.

I see many vehicles that are completely covered in advertising, can SIGN-A-RAMA provide this service?

Yes. This depends on your vehicle and budget. The best thing to do is have one of our design engineers inspect your vehicle and take measurements for a quote.

If I have special color matching requirements, or need to have my letterhead and business cards matched can SIGN-A-RAMA meet my needs?

Yes. Depending on the type of sign and it’s uses, we can match according to your needs.

Do I need a permit for my sign?

You may or may not. We will do the work to find out exactly what you need and help attain the permit before the sign is installed if necessary.

If I am getting a sign installed on my vehicle, how long will my car/truck/van be out of service?

Most vehicles can be lettered in one business day.

Does SIGN-A-RAMA create trade show booths and graphics?

Yes. We can customize them, or sell you pre fabricated, travel booths.

What is the largest sign I could order from a SIGN-A-RAMA full service sign center?

There are no signs too large for us!

I copied a photo from the internet and pasted it into my design, how will this look?

It will not look good at all!  Most photo's on the internet are scaled down to 72 dpi so that they load on your screen quickly.  When you copy and paste them into your file they remain at 72 dpi and will look like a series of boxes (pixels), you will not be happy with the final print.  Placing the internet photo into a design program like Photoshop and then saving at 300 dpi will not work - the pasted image will still be 72 dpi.
